Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a skilled Rigger to set up, assemble, or disassemble job-specific rigging, selecting gear based on load, size, and movement to safely relocate machinery and equipment. The role requires attention to safety, communication with operators, and the ability to use hand- and power-tools.

You will inspect rigging materials, align and anchor equipment, and help with fabrication or maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Follow directions and instructions closely.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or manuals.
• Estimate weight-bearing capability.
• Knowledge of hand/flag signals.

Responsibilities

• Set up, assemble, or disassemble rigging and secure loads.
• Visually inspect rigging materials for safety.
• Select gear according to load and job specs.
• Communicate signals to operators during lifting.
• Operate vehicles or mechanized equipment as needed.
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
