Job summary

Bechtel Equipment Operations, Inc. seeks a Rigging Engineer to support projects across the USA. You will develop rigging plans, review heavy lift strategies, and coordinate with engineering and field teams to ensure safe execution and compliance with standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2–5 years of rigging experience, plus strong knowledge of lifting equipment, crane selection, and safety codes. Travel to various project sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a four-year university with 2–5 years of rigging experience.
• Experience in lifting and heavy-haul operations, rigging plan development, and crane selection.
• Knowledge of ASME B30.20 BTH-1, safety programs, and codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares rigging plans, calculations, and specifications for rigging material and lift equipment.
• Prepares bull rigging plans for the project under Bechtel Certified Rigging Engineers direction.
• Reviews / approves bull rigging plans under Bechtel Certified Rigging Engineers direction.
