Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Dispatcher to schedule rigging crews and assign equipment per customer requirements and DOT regulations. This role ensures MEI-owned and rental equipment is allocated and scheduled for maintenance, coordinating with job sites and yard projects.

Responsibilities include planning crews, managing paperwork, dispatching daily, and coordinating equipment from MEI and rentals to meet safety and efficiency standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 2 years dispatching experience in rigging or transportation.
• Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and export/import requirements.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and schedule work crews and equipment for each job.
• Manage paperwork related to export packing crew responsibilities.
• Assign and dispatch crews each morning to ensure proper skill fit.
• Dispatch equipment and tools, including scheduling of repairs.
• Prepare and distribute job paperwork to crew, accounting, and management.
• Enter labor and equipment data in WrightPlan.
• Adjust labor hours in ADP and obtain manager approval.
• Maintain an up-to-date dispatch board with pending and confirmed jobs.
• Coordinate drop-off and pickup of equipment and rentals.
• Supervise driving and rigging crews for safety and MEI standards.
• Communicate daily with foremen and drivers.
• Provide new hire orientation on safety and attendance.
