Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking a Dispatcher in Chantilly, VA to schedule rigging crews and equipment for diverse jobs, ensuring DOT compliance and efficient operations. You will coordinate travel, load times, and non-job tasks while maintaining accurate paperwork and timekeeping.

You will supervise crews, assign equipment, and manage maintenance, permits and job documentation. The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years dispatching experience in rigging/transport preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills.
• Problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and export/import requirements.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and schedule crews and equipment for each job.
• Manage paperwork for daily export packing duties.
• Assign and dispatch crews to jobs based on skill set and requirements.
• Dispatch equipment and tools, schedule maintenance and permits.
• Prepare and distribute job and equipment paperwork to crews, accounting and management.
• Enter labor and equipment data in WrightPlan; review hours in ADP.
• Update dispatch board daily with pending and confirmed jobs.
• Coordinate drop-off/pick-up of equipment across MEI locations.
• Supervise driving and rigging crews to ensure safety and MEI standards.
