Job summary

Mei Rigging & Crating LLC in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Dispatcher to schedule rigging crews and assign equipment in compliance with DOT regulations and MEI standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 2+ years dispatching experience preferably within rigging/transportation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of customs requirements related to export/import shipments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and schedule crews and equipment for each job.
• Manage paperwork for daily export packing crew responsibilities.
• Dispatch and assign crews each morning per job requirements ensuring skills match.
• Dispatch equipment and tools, schedule maintenance and permit handling.
• Prepare and distribute all required paperwork to crews, accounting, operations management.
• Enter labor and equipment data into WrightPlan.
• Review and adjust labor hours in ADP timekeeping.
• Update dispatch board daily for pending and confirmed jobs.
• Coordinate drop-off and pickup of equipment across MEI locations.
• Supervise driving and rigging crews to meet MEI standards.
• Communicate daily with foremen and drivers for scheduling efficiency.
• Provide new hire orientation on safety and timekeeping requirements.
