Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions is seeking an experienced Rigger for our Columbus, OH operations. The role involves setting up, assembling, or disassembling rigging to safely relocate machinery, tools, and equipment.

You will select gear based on load size, weight, and movement area, while maintaining strict safety standards. Disassembly, inspection of rigging gear, and flag/hand-signaling communication with operators are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred for advanced roles.
• Must possess NCCCO/NCCER/NCCCO Rigger Level I/II and Signal Person certifications.
• Experience reading blueprints and schematics; knowledge of safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect rigging materials for safety and reliability.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery or equipment.
• Attach loads using appropriate rigging gear and secure machinery for moves.
• Operate and navigate hoists, winches, and related equipment.
• Communicate with team using signals and verbal cues to ensure safety.
