Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Houston, TX is seeking a Rigger-Industrial Machinery Movers for full-time field operations. You will set up, assemble, and disassemble rigging, select appropriate gear, and ensure safe movement of machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities include inspecting rigging materials, aligning and anchoring loads, signaling during hoisting, and handling hand and power tools as needed. A HS diploma is preferred; CDL may be required for some roles.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to take direction and closely follow instruction.
• Read blueprints and manuals when required.
• Read weight and load requirements and apply safety signals.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test rigging materials for safety.
• Align, level, and anchor machinery or equipment.
• Use tools to attach loads to rigging and prepare for moving.
• Select gear based on load weights and dimensions.
• Communicate with workers during hoisting and moving operations.
• Move and position heavy equipment using rigging gear.
• Operate lift equipment and drive when required.
