Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking an experienced engineer to design and modify mechanical/structural systems for Ride & Show platforms. You will manage projects end-to-end, ensure safety and reliability, and coordinate with ride supervisors, managers, and technicians.

The role emphasizes engineering calculations, vendor evaluations, and development of maintenance procedures to support park operations 24/7. On-site work in Orlando, FL, with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering required or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of project engineering experience in mechanical/structural systems for dynamic motion (mobile) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Implements design modifications to Ride & Show system equipment to improve safety, reliability and serviceability.
  • Manages projects from design through installation, including schedules and budgets.
  • Prepares scope of work documents and maintenance procedures; conducts acceptance tests.
  • Interacts with ride supervisors, managers and technicians to resolve issues.
  • Generates equipment specifications and evaluates vendor products/services.
