Job summary

OWA seeks a Ride Ops Supervisor to oversee scheduling, training, and evaluation of ride operators. You will supervise locations, enforce safety steps, coach staff, and respond to emergencies while maintaining guest service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise ride locations and ensure all procedures and safety steps are followed.
  • Train, schedule, coach, and discipline team members with feedback and documentation.
  • Respond to and assist with emergency calls.
  • Monitor ride attraction areas and maintain situational awareness of operation.
  • Provide clear direction to guests and associates regarding safety.
  • Complete operational paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Notify maintenance of equipment issues to ensure safe operation.
  • Enforce park and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain reliability by working assigned shifts as scheduled.
  • Support team members with loading, unloading, control panel operation, crowd control, and area cleanliness.
  • Maintain highest level of guest service at all times.
  • Ensure safety of all guests and team members.
  • Communicate daily issues to Ride Operations Manager.
  • Motivate and engage each team member.
  • Inspect attraction areas to ensure safety standards.
  • Coordinate with maintenance for attraction readiness.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job description

As a Ride Ops Supervisor, you will be responsible for scheduling, training, and evaluating ride operators.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise ride locations and ensure all procedures and safety steps are followed
  • Train, schedule, coach, and discipline team members with appropriate feedback and documentation
  • Respond to and assist with emergency calls
  • Regularly monitor ride attraction areas and maintain situational awareness of overall operation
  • Give clear direction and assistance to guests and associates in regards to safety
  • Accurately complete operational paperwork in a timely manner
  • Notify maintenance of equipment issues necessary to ensure safe operation
  • Follow and enforce all park and departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain reliability by working assigned shifts as scheduled
  • Assist and support team members with all aspects of daily ride operations including, but not limited to, loading, unloading, control panel operation, crowd control, lost articles, and area cleanliness
  • Ensure highest level of guest service at all times
  • Ensure the safety of all guests and team members
  • Proactively manage daily issues and maintain communication with the Ride Operations Manager
  • Motivate and engage each team member
  • Inspect attraction areas and ensure they meet safety standards
  • Coordinate with the ride maintenance team to ensure attraction readiness
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to provide effective communication in a professional manner at all times
  • Minimum of two year's supervisory experience within a service, hospitality, or retail industry
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs
  • Must be willing to work odd and irregular hours
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license
