Zusammenfassung

Corning is seeking a Lead Ribbon Cable Engineering Manager to guide the Hickory Cable Plant. You will provide strategic direction, mentor a skilled team, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and cost through rigorous engineering practices.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8+ years of manufacturing experience, and 3+ years of supervision. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with ~5% travel and a strong emphasis on leadership and technical excellence.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• 3+ years of direct supervision experience in an engineering/manufacturing setting.

Aufgaben

• Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the Engineering team.
• Champion core engineering principles for operational excellence and technical rigor.
• Lead capital forecasts for projects including capacity expansion and upgrades.
• Oversee the Ribbon Cable Engineering team and ensure timely project delivery.
• Collaborate with cable technology, division engineering and product line teams.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives and promote best practices.
• Own critical business projects with hands-on leadership and oversight.
• Develop plant engineering capability through coaching and succession planning.
• Portfolio management and prioritization of engineering initiatives.
