Corning Incorporated in Hickory, NC seeks an Engineering Leader to oversee the Flame Retardant Engineering Department at the Hickory Cable Plant. You will drive safety, cost, capability, and process improvements while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include mentoring a skilled engineering team, developing capital plans, and collaborating with cross-functional groups to align on priorities and roadmaps.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 8+ years manufacturing engineering experience.
• 3+ years direct supervision experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• Proven leadership, communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with project leadership and cost reduction initiatives.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership to the Flame Retardant Engineering Department.
• Develop and manage capital forecasts for projects and cost reductions.
• Oversee the FR engineering team with timely project delivery and metrics.
• Collaborate with cable technology, division engineering and product line teams.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and best practices across the organization.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent and leadership within the plant.
• Coordinate portfolio management and prioritization of engineering initiatives.
• Develop detailed project plans including cost analyses to meet objectives.
