Job summary

Jackson is seeking an RIA External Consultant to build and manage relationships with Independent Registered Investment Advisers in the designated territory. The role involves meetings, seminars, and campaigns to drive sales while staying current on Jackson products and platforms.

The position requires ongoing travel up to 25%, strong presentation and communication skills, and a collaborative approach with internal partners. A Bachelor’s degree and FINRA licenses are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of sales experience in investments, mutual funds, insurance, or annuities.
• 5+ years of experience preferred.
• FINRA SIE, FINRA Series 6 or 7, FINRA Series 63, State Insurance License required.
• Industry designations or advanced degree (CFA, CFP, CIMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops a business plan with the VP, RIA Sales to maximize territorial sales.
• Conducts product and sales training through individual and group sessions, seminars, workshops, and branch meetings.
• Strategically plans and manages resource deployment to maximize territory sales, including budget and expenses.
• Works with Internal Wholesaler to identify leads from referrals, campaigns, and canvassing, and follow-ups.
• Maintains adviser profiles and sales activity data using Jackson databases.
• Uses CRM system to communicate with internal partners.
• Operates in a hybrid wholesaling capacity with up to 25% field time and virtual meetings.
