Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC, in collaboration with a premier regional health facility, seeks a full-time Rheumatologist in Mattoon, IL. The role offers Board Certified or Board Eligible candidates a highly collaborative practice model within a regional network and a choice of scheduling from traditional Monday-Friday to a condensed 4-day week.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of Internal Medicine Residency followed by Rheumatology Fellowship
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Rheumatology
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license (or eligible)
• DEA registration
• Strong interpersonal and team-based care skills

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative rheumatologic care for autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases
• Coordinate patient care across a regional network
• Collaborate within a team-based care model with APPs
• Offer flexible scheduling options from 5-day to 4-day work week
• Manage minor clinical call responsibilities (screening lab values)
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records for all encounters and infusions
