Job summary

The Recruiting Hive seeks a board-certified or eligible rheumatologist to join a premier regional network in Mattoon, Illinois. You’ll provide comprehensive rheumatology care from a main hub with mid-level support, balancing production potential with work-life balance.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited institution.
• Internal Medicine Residency followed by a Rheumatology Fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Rheumatology.
• Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain).
• Valid DEA registration.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to mid-level provider supervision and team medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative rheumatologic care for a full spectrum of autoimmune and musculoskeletal diseases.
• Coordinate patient care and rotation across an established regional network.
• Collaborate fluidly within a team-based care model, partnering alongside the department's existing physician and two experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• Customize your optimal clinical schedule, with choices ranging from a traditional Monday-Friday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) setup to an accessible 4-day condensed work week.
• Manage minor clinical call responsibilities, restricted primarily to reviewing critical patient lab values as needed (no arduous, traditional hospital call burdens).
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all clinical encounters and specialized infusions.
