Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• ABIM/ABMS board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.
• Active Vermont medical license or eligibility before start date.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat complex rheumatic disorders following evidence-based standards.
• Take histories, perform exams, assess disease activity and functional status.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and bone health tests to guide care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including DMARDs, biologics, and corticosteroids.
• Prescribe and monitor advanced therapies with attention to safety and efficacy.
• Perform routine rheumatology procedures such as joint injections.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, risks, and self-management.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation in compliance with guidelines.
