Job summary

Raytheon in McKinney, TX seeks a software-focused engineer to design and develop test software for production environments. You will work with hardware, software, and program engineers, applying best practices in planning, development, and execution while maintaining rigorous engineering discipline.

The role entails hands-on testing support, mentoring teammates, and collaborating to meet RF measurement goals. A STEM degree with 2+ years’ experience and the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with a minimum of 2 years of prior experience.
• Experience developing and deploying test software in C#, CVI, C, and/or C++, with code review tools and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience automating RF test equipment control (e.g. vector network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
• Experience creating test plans and sequences for RF measurements using NI Test Suite.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test software solutions for production testing with hardware, software, and program engineers.
• Implement system software engineering best practices in planning, development, and execution of scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate and execute design activities with disciplined engineering processes and leadership guidance.
• Effectively communicate technical information in formal design reviews.
• Provide hands-on support to product testing within an engineering test environment.
• Share knowledge and mentor other engineers on the team.
• Support the RF Technologies department goals under the Section Manager.
