Job summary

Samsung Electronics America seeks an experienced Regional RF Engineer Lead to analyze, design, and optimize wireless networks across multiple field teams. You will oversee RF activities, perform link budgets, and plan coverage and capacity while coordinating with managers and customers.

The role requires deep RF knowledge, experience with 5G/LTE technologies, and hands-on use of industry tools. You will mentor engineers and lead key optimization projects to ensure performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 8+ years' work experience in wireless industry preferred.
• Strong RF fundamentals and data network knowledge.
• Experience with CDMA/EVDO, 5G and LTE/VoLTE technologies.
• Proficiency with RF tools for model calibration and spectrum planning.
• Programming experience: Python, Excel Macros.
• Experience with base station equipment (Samsung, Alcatel Lucent).

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, implement, and optimize wireless networks.
• Oversee RF engineering activities across field teams.
• Perform link budgets, coverage and capacity planning.
• Coordinate with project managers and customers.
• Provide guidance and training to team members.
• Communicate budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Identify capacity issues and drive site modifications.
• Collaborate with Site Development for new cells.
• Present ideas clearly in writing and speech.
