Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking an experienced Regional RF Engineer Lead to analyze, design, implement, and optimize wireless networks across field teams. You will guide engineers, perform coverage and capacity planning, and coordinate with project managers and customers to meet schedules and budgets.

The role requires strong RF fundamentals, proficiency with industry tools, and experience with CDMA/EVDO, 5G and LTE/VoLTE.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in CS or EE; MS is a plus.
8+ years in wireless with RF/network focus.
Strong knowledge of CDMA/EVDO, 5G and LTE/VoLTE.
Proficiency with RF tools (Planet, Tornado, Wizard, Odyssey, dB Planner).
Experience in people management and budget/headcount planning.
Programming: Python, Excel Macros, Alteryx.
Proficient in MapInfo, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
Excellent communication and multi-project prioritization.

Responsibilities

Lead RF network analysis, design, and optimization across projects.
Oversee daily activities of field teams; interface with PM and customers.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
Plan site identification, frequency planning, interference analysis, and coverage.
Manage budgets, headcount, and milestones; report progress.
Drive cell splits, sector adds, and small cell initiatives as needed.
Collaborate with Site Development for new/mod existing sites.
