Job summary

Leidos' NISC IV program seeks an Electrical Engineer/Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to support the FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group in Seattle, Denver, or Salt Lake City. The ideal candidate will have an electrical engineering degree and 4+ years in RF spectrum analysis, interference mitigation, DF, and field investigations.

The position requires up to 50% travel, active security clearance or ability to obtain one, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of prior RF engineering experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report RF interference affecting NAS operations.
  • Evaluate urgency and impact of incoming RFI reports to prioritize responses.
  • Conduct remote and on-site RFI investigations using RF analysis tools.
  • Perform field investigations with spectrum analyzers and portable antennas.
  • Interpret data and apply mitigation to minimize NAS disruption.
  • Coordinate with system users, engineers and frequency managers.
  • Prepare reports detailing issues, methods, findings and resolutions.
  • Travel for on-site investigations within the Western Service Area.
