Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Electrical Engineer/RF Engineer to support FAA Spectrum Engineering Services in Seattle, Denver, or Salt Lake City. The role requires a degree in electrical engineering and 4+ years in RF analysis, interference mitigation, and on-site investigations.

Travel to NAS sites is required, with up to 50% travel. The engineer will work with regulatory bodies and project teams, prepare detailed reports, and ensure interference-free CNS operations across the NAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of RF engineering experience.
• US citizenship or ability to obtain clearance; active clearance preferred.
• MS Office proficiency and ability to learn FAA software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor reports of RF interference affecting NAS operations.
• Evaluate urgency and impact of RFI reports to prioritize response.
• Conduct RFI investigations using historical data and RF tools.
• Perform field investigations with spectrum analyzers and DF equipment.
• Interpret data and apply mitigation to minimize NAS disruption.
• Coordinate with users, engineering leads, and frequency managers.
