Job summary

Leidos' NISC IV program seeks a Spectrum RF Engineer to support the FAA Spectrum Engineering Services Group. The Spectrum Engineering Group secures, manages, and protects civil aviation spectrum resources to ensure interference-free operation of FAA CNS systems across the NAS.

The ideal candidate will have an electrical engineering degree or equivalent training and at least 2 years of spectrum/ RF engineering experience, capable of coordinating frequency assignments for radar, air-to-ground, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training in electrical engineering or spectrum management.
• 6+ years of RF/spectrum engineering experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to learn FAA-specific software and systems.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for security clearance (Secret or higher).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to FAA and non-FAA frequency assignment actions per FAA Orders and NTIA Redbook.
• Perform RF analyses (propagation, link-budget, EMC) using FAA tools.
• Validate location, equipment, parameters, and emission designator data.
• Coordinate with FAA and contractor teams to resolve issues and advance records.
• Maintain documentation ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
