Job summary

TSC is seeking a Software Lead in Huntsville, AL to architect, design and drive development of advanced RF-based and SIGINT/EW software solutions. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, set standards, and mentor engineers while ensuring security, performance, and DoD/commercial compliance.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in C/C++ and Python, extensive system architecture experience, and a proven ability to translate requirements into actionable tasks across product lines.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years in software architecture, design, and development; 3+ years leading teams.
• Experience writing production-quality C/C++ and Python code.
• Ability to decompose requirements into technical tasks and plan work.
• Proven track record of modular, scalable software architectures.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET DoD clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of RF/SIGINT/embedded software solutions.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks for software teams.
• Write, review, and maintain high-quality, modular code and docs.
• Enforce architecture standards and coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, product, and business teams.
• Mentor software engineers and guide professional development.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance capabilities and maintain competitive edge.
• Ensure DoD/commercial security, performance, and compliance.
• Support field testing, troubleshooting, and deployment.
