Job summary

TSC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the Product Solutions team. You will design, develop, test, and integrate embedded Linux software for RF sensor products and systems, collaborating with multi‑disciplinary engineers.

The role requires five to seven years in embedded software, strong C++ and Python skills, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required, with experience across hardware interfaces and

Qualifications

BS degree or equivalent with embedded software experience.
5–7 years in software design and development for embedded systems.
Extensive experience with multithreaded C++ on embedded Linux.
Modular software architecture design for embedded systems.
Interface software with hardware, serial, Ethernet, and custom protocols.
Proficiency in Python for automation and data processing.
Experience with CI/CD, version control, and software configuration management.
Strong analytical and debugging skills; excellent communication.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, verify, and test embedded Linux software.
Develop scalable, multithreaded C++ applications for embedded platforms.
Create maintainable, modular components and interfaces.
Interface software with hardware devices, sensors, and network components.
Assist in software integration, system bring‑up, and performance optimizations.
Collaborate with systems, hardware, FPGA, and test engineers; perform code reviews.
