Job summary

TSC's Product Solutions in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Mid-Level Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and test embedded software for RF sensor products and systems. You will work with ARM-based processors using C/C++ and Python, implementing real-time controls and signal processing in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The role involves system testing, HWIL validation, and documentation of designs and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• 3–10 years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python/MATLAB.
• Strong microcontroller/microprocessor knowledge and peripherals.
• Familiarity with JTAG, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzers.
• Knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for ARM-based processors using C/C++.
• Design, develop, and maintain system test applications using C/C++ and Python.
• Implement real-time controls and signal processing algorithms.
• Collaborate with hardware/FPGA teams to define software requirements and architecture.
• Debug and troubleshoot software-hardware integration with lab equipment and tools.
• Conduct integration and system testing to ensure quality and performance.
• Work with HWIL testing to validate embedded software functionality.
• Document software designs, development processes, and test results.
