Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect is seeking a Process Engineer to drive process development, improvements, and tooling/fixture designs for RF coax connector and cable assembly manufacturing. You will support manufacturing capabilities, collaborate across Winchester's RFM organization, and provide input on manufacturability for new product designs.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, equipment management, and standardizing routines to maximize rates and reduce costs, with close work alongside

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or minimum 3 years directly related RF coax connector and cable assembly and manufacturing experience.
• Industry knowledge of RF/Microwave connector and cable industry specs and compliance (RoHS, UL, Plenum) a plus.
• DFM (Design for Manufacture) & DFA (Design for Assembly) proven ability to follow designs from release through manufacture.
• Excellent electrical/mechanical assembly skills; lean manufacturing knowledge; ERP systems familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Define and propose improved processes to enhance product quality, throughput, and reduce costs.
• Support QA, operations, and Materials Review Board with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues; coordinate external services for repair/replacement.
• Review, evaluate and implement process-related tooling and equipment; lead rollout to production teams with training and documentation.
• Develop and document manufacturing processes and procedures; guide assembly and test processes.
• Collaborate with ops, quality, and materials to resolve manufacturability issues for NPI and existing products.
• Assess manufacturing capabilities with Ops to support on-time NPI execution.
• Provide tooling/fixture and process design input to ensure manufacturability and cost targets.
