Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect is seeking a Process Engineer to focus on process development, improvements, and fixture/tooling designs. You will support manufacturing capabilities and collaborate across the organization to enable on-time execution of NPI projects.

Responsibilities include driving process improvements, managing equipment issues, and developing manufacturability input while working with operations, quality, and materials to optimize cost, quality, and throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 3+ years direct RF coax connector and cable assembly manufacturing experience.
• Working knowledge of RF/Microwave connector and cable industry standards (RoHS, UL, etc.) a plus

Responsibilities

• Define and propose improved processes to enhance product quality, throughput and productivity.
• Support QA, operations, and Material Review Board to resolve issues via root cause analysis and corrective actions on assembly processes.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment issues or coordinate external services for repair and replacement.
• Review, evaluate and implement process-related tooling and equipment; train production teams and document procedures.
• Develop standardized routines and innovative manufacturing techniques to maximize production rates and minimize costs.
• Monitor key metrics, measure throughput, conduct time studies, and ensure peak output quality via continuous improvement.
• Provide manufacturability input (DFA/DFM) on new designs and NBOs for on-time NPI execution.
• Develop and document manufacturing processes and procedures; guide assembly and test processes.

Job Title: Process Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a Process Engineer to focus on process development, process improvements, and tooling/fixture designs. You will support our manufacturing capabilities and collaborate across Winchester\'s RFM organization.

Leadership and Core Responsibilities

• Continuous Improvement: Define and propose improved processes to improve product quality, throughput, reduce operational costs and maximize productivity.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Support QA, operations, and Material Review Board to resolve issues in a timely manner for existing and new products and processes by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions on the assembly process
• Equipment Management: Diagnose and resolve equipment issues through technical expertise or by coordinating external services for repair and replacement.
• Innovation & Tooling: Review, evaluate and implement process-related tooling and equipment; lead the rollout to production teams through hands‑on training and documentation
• Process Optimization & Innovation: Develop and implement standardized routines, adaptive workflows, and innovative manufacturing techniques to maximize production rates and minimize costs.
• Performance & Quality Management: Take primary responsibility for assembly processes by monitoring key metrics, measuring throughput, performing time studies, and ensuring peak output quality through continuous improvement.
• Provide manufacturability input (DFA, DFM) on new product designs and NBOs for on‑time execution of NPI projects to performance, cost, and quality expectations
• Develop and document manufacturing processes and procedures
• Guide assembly and test processes
• You will work closely with operations, quality, and materials to positively impact the business by helping to resolve manufacturability issues to support accurate, on‑time execution of new and existing products to our customers.
• In conjunction with the Ops team, assess and plan for manufacturing capabilities to support on‑time execution of NPI projects to performance, quality, and cost expectations
• Provide tooling/fixture and process design input to ensure manufacturability, performance, quality, and cost expectations of cable, cable assembly, and connector product lines
• Utilization of ERP, Salesforce, KissFlow, QT9, and other system tools

Education & Technical Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or minimum 3 years directly related RF coax connector and cable assembly and manufacturing experience.
• Industry Domain: Working knowledge of specifications, regulations, and compliance requirements as they pertain to RF/Microwave connector and cable industry (i.e. military specifications, RoHS, UL, Plenum, etc.) a plus

Certifications & Competencies

• DFM (Design for Manufacture) & DFA (Design for Assembly) - Proven ability to follow designs from release through manufacture
• Excellent electrical mechanical assembly skills
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks CAD platform
• Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing
• Understanding of ERP systems
• Experience operating RF/Microwave test equipment such as Network Analyzers, HiPot Testers, etc. a plus

Compensation, Benefits & Legal

Total Rewards & Compensation

• Base Salary Range: 120,000 - 130,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
• Incentive Compensation: AIP target 5%.
