Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks RF PCB Layout Engineers to work onsite in Albuquerque, NM or Germantown, MD, supporting RF, phased-array, mixed-signal, digital, power, and electromechanical systems across development through production.

You will create and maintain PCB layouts, apply controlled-impedance routing, review design rules, and collaborate with RF, electrical, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and test teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Electronics, CAD, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in PCB layout, RF layout, electronics design, drafting, or hardware development.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain PCB layouts for RF, mixed-signal, digital, power, and control assemblies.
• Translate schematics, RF constraints, stack-up requirements, thermal paths into manufacturable layouts.
• Apply controlled-impedance routing, differential-pair requirements, grounding, shielding, and RF clearance.
• Support design-rule checks, peer reviews, and release reviews before fabrication and assembly.
• Collaborate across RF, electrical, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, quality, and test teams.
• Provide technical leadership and support prototype bring-up, RF testing, and production transition.
