Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking an RF PCBA Design and Test Engineer to design, integrate, and deliver high-reliability RF/mixed-signal PCBs for phased-array and advanced radar/communications products.

You will own the PCB lifecycle—from stack-up definition and layout governance through fabrication, assembly, bring‑up, release, and test for production circuit card assemblies and integrated RF systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in RF/microwave and mixed-signal PCB development for high-reliability products.
• Proven expertise in RF board layout for multiple bands (L/S/C/X/Ku/Ka) front-ends.
• Hands-on with hybrid stack-ups, controlled impedance, backdrill/HDI, thermal/shielding.

Responsibilities

• Define multilayer RF stack-ups and impedance strategies to meet RF targets.
• Partition boards for RF, mixed-signal, high-speed digital with shielding and thermal considerations.
• Define RF layout rules and high-speed constraints; perform SI/PI/RF simulations.
• Lead schematic capture, ECOs, and DRC/DFM sign-off in ECAD tools.
• Execute board bring-up, acceptance tests, and collaboration with RF test teams.
