Job summary

MACOM in Morrisville, NC, is seeking an RF Pallet Design Engineer to design and test high‑power RF pallets and modules for commercial, aerospace, and defense applications. You will optimize GaN power amplifiers, work across locations, ensure manufacturability, and transfer products to production, with hands-on RF test and design tool experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics or similar field with 3+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year.
• Experience with RF circuit architecture and RF module system design.
• Experience with high power RF measurements and GaN power amplifiers.
• Familiarity with test equipment such as network/spectrum analyzers and power meters.

Responsibilities

• Design and test high power RF pallets and modules for various applications.
• Collaborate with product line managers to meet customer specs and timelines.
• Optimize GaN high power amplifiers for customer needs.
• Work with assembly and product engineering to ensure manufacturability and transfer to production.
• Document, characterize, and release pallet products for high volume production.
