Job summary

MACOM, located in Durham, NC, is seeking a Senior RF MMIC Test Engineer to perform on-wafer testing of high power, high frequency GaN MMICs. This position involves configuring and calibrating test setups, developing test software, and collaborating closely with design teams to ensure rapid testing and delivery cycles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in test and evaluation of RF, microwave, and millimeter wave MMICs.
• Proficient in the setup, configuration, calibration, and performance of RF MMIC tests.
• Ability to recognize and debug issues with test setups.

Responsibilities

• On-wafer testing of GaN MMICs including HPAs and multi-function chips.
• Independently configure, calibrate and verify test setups.
• Support designers with probe and test material design.

Skills

Test and evaluation of RF MMICs

Firmware programming in C# and Python

Usage of RF test equipment

Collaboration with design teams

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

PNAx or similar vector network analyzers
