Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled RF/Microwave engineer to design, simulate, and test advanced RF hardware for radar and sensing applications. You will work on CCAs, MMICs, antennas, and modules, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to deliver robust hardware solutions.

The role requires a Master's degree in a STEM field, hands-on RF testing, and experience with VNAs and spectrum analyzers. A DoD Secret clearance is required to begin work.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related STEM discipline, by start date.
• Coursework in RF circuit design, microwave circuits, electromagnetics, antenna engineering, radar design.
• Experience in RF/microwave design, testing, or hardware characterization.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and analyze RF/microwave components, MMICs, CCAs, and/or phased array module hardware.
• Perform assembly, testing and characterization of RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave hardware and/or devices.
• Execute component- and system-level integration and testing for digital, analog, and RF assemblies.
• Utilize automated test instrumentation and software (e.g., Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW) to control measurement systems and evaluate results.
• Characterize hardware using VNAs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, phase noise analyzers, and PNAs.
• Conduct circuit simulations, obsolescence assessments, hardware troubleshooting, and failure investigations.
• Partner with multi-discipline teams and participate in design reviews.
• Learn RF simulation/design processes and hardware characterization techniques.
