Job summary

RTX in Goleta, California, seeks an Electrical Engineer II – RF/Microwave Design to contribute to EW and defense electronics development. You will design and test RF electronics, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and support program goals in a secure environment.

The role requires an engineering background with RF/microwave exposure and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Onsite work is expected with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience or an advanced STEM degree by start date.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; US citizenship required.
• Familiar with RF/microwave design tools and eager to learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and test electronics of varying complexity in a team setting.
• Schedule tasks, provide status updates, and coordinate with engineers, program managers, and supply chain.
• Possibly travel for business on occasion.

Education

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major
