Job summary

Raytheon in Goleta, CA, is seeking an experienced RF/microwave engineer to own designs from concept to production. You will translate requirements into schematics, develop RF and microwave circuits, and support PCB/CCA design while collaborating with cross‑functional teams on multiple programs.

The role requires hands‑on design activity, lab validation, and leadership within the engineering group. Onsite work and travel for integration are expected; a DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 8+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience designing RF/microwave hardware, with SME capabilities.
• Experience with microwave frequencies up to ~40 GHz and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Own RF/microwave hardware designs from concept through production.
• Define system, module, and component-level architecture.
• Translate requirements into schematics and hardware solutions.
• Design and develop RF, microwave, mixed-signal, and power circuitry.
• Create schematics, select components, and support PCB/CCA design.
• Mentor and lead the RF/microwave design team across multiple programs.
