Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA seeks an experienced RF/microwave hardware engineer to own end-to-end designs from concept to production. You will define architecture, translate system requirements into schematics, and develop RF, microwave, mixed-signal, and power circuitry for complex boards.

Lead and mentor the team, collaborate with systems and test engineers, perform design reviews, and support proposals. Occasional travel may be required, and a DoD Secret clearance is expected for this role.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree with 8+ years experience or advanced degree with 5+ years experience.
• Experience designing RF/microwave hardware and operating as SME.
• Experience with microwave hardware up to ~40 GHz and above.

Responsibilities

• Own RF/microwave hardware designs from concept through production.
• Define system, module, and component-level architecture.
• Translate requirements into schematics and hardware solutions.
• Design and develop RF, microwave, mixed-signal, and power circuitry.
• Create schematics, select components, and support PCB/CCA design.
• Mentor and lead engineering teams across programs.
