Job summary

RTX is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer in Tucson, AZ, to join the Effector RF Design Department. You will work on RF systems, drawings, and prototype hardware within a multi-disciplinary team, driving hands-on testing and integration activities.

The role requires a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and coursework in design, thermodynamics, and materials. Experience with Creo Parametric and GD&T is preferred; relocation support is offered, and onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM major obtained upon start date.
  • Coursework, project, internship, or professional experience in manufacturing and design, thermodynamics and heat transfer, vibrations, materials, mechatronics, and/or statics.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating in a multi-discipline team setting to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Creating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF product designs.
  • Developing prototype hardware designs and coordinating fabrication.
  • Performing hands on integration and test support for prototype hardware.
  • Holding design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts.
