Qualifications

Job description

Job Summary

Entry‑level Mechanical Engineer in the Effector Guidance Electronics Department, responsible for developing RF system components—including antennas and circuit card assemblies—in Huntsville, Alabama.

Location: Huntsville, AL (onsite); relocation assistance available.

Security Clearance: DoD Secret (U.S. citizen required).

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate in multi‑disciplinary teams to solve complex engineering problems.
  • Create 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF product designs.
  • Develop prototype hardware designs and coordinate fabrication.
  • Perform hands‑on integration and test support for prototype hardware.
  • Hold design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience performing design or analysis throughout the product life cycle.
  • Proficiency in 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
  • Experience creating Technical Data Packages (TDPs) using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience designing or analyzing packaging of RF products (e.g., circuit card assemblies, antennas, radomes, harnesses and interconnects).
  • Proficiency in Creo Parametric.
  • Experience with antenna and/or electronics packaging.
  • Experience with harness and interconnect design.
  • Experience creating engineering drawings and fabricating prototype designs.
  • Capability in tolerance analysis and GD&T.
  • Strong collaboration with multi‑disciplinary teams, including conflict resolution and cultural awareness.
  • Self‑motivated problem solver with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Benefits and Compensation

Competitive salary range: $68,900 – $131,100. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules (subject to role), employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off and holidays. Additional incentive compensation programs may apply.
