Job summary

Mach Industries is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Huntington Beach, CA to develop advanced RF sensing for autonomous defense platforms. You will design, implement, verify and optimize radar software across the full development lifecycle from board bring-up to low-latency embedded code.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to meet mission-critical requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of embedded software experience for radar, RF sensing, signal processing, wireless or aerospace products.
• Proficiency in low level C/C++ for embedded systems with clean, well-tested code.
• Experience with RTOS or bare-metal in memory constrained environments.
• Ability to read schematics and bring-up new boards and processors, including peripherals/drivers.

Responsibilities

• Build next generation counter-UAV defense systems, defending lives and critical assets.
• Write high-performance C/C++ production code across MCUs to multi-core processors.
• Develop radar/RF sensing pipelines ensuring real-time, low-latency performance.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on board bring-up and hardware/software trade-offs.
• Develop functional and lab tests to validate embedded software and new features.
• Own software quality, reliability and performance, tracking issues and fixes.
• Contribute to project planning, risks, blockers, and trade-offs.
