Job summary

HRL Laboratories, an IBM company, is seeking an experienced engineer to design, test, and integrate RF and embedded control subsystems across communications, radar and EW applications. You will work with scientists and engineers and mentor junior staff in embedded practices.

The role requires a BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 7+ years in embedded development, HDL, C/C++, Python, and strong RF/test equipment experience. U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering.
• 7+ years of embedded software/firmware development experience.
• HDL Verilog/VHDL and C/C++, Python experience.
• Git/GitLab and CI/CD practices experience.
• RF and high-speed digital test equipment experience.
• Familiarity with FPGAs, DSPs and microcontrollers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute technical expertise to design, fabricate, integrate, and test RF/components and subsystems below 0.1–200+ GHz.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop RF subsystems for communications, radar, EW.
• Lead embedded control work for RF system development and mentor junior engineers.
