Job summary

HRL Laboratories, LLC in California seeks an RF/millimeter-wave engineer to contribute to the design, fabrication, integration and testing of high-performance subsystems. You will work with scientists and engineers to advance RF solutions for communication, radar and sensing, and support proposal activities.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience, plus familiarity with Python, C, MATLAB and RF test equipment. U.S.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree plus 2+ years experience.
• Some experience with modeling and simulating electronic components, RF electronics and circuits is desired.
• Experience with different families of FPGAs, DSPs, or microcontrollers is desired.
• Familiarity with Python, C and MATLAB; Simulink is a plus.
• Understanding of circuit theory, electromagnetics, and digital signal processing.
• Familiarity with RF and high-speed digital test equipment.
• Ability to interact professionally with program managers, co-workers, customers.
• Ability to operate complex electronic equipment.
• Perform detailed analyses of integrated circuits and prepare presentations.
• Teamwork and independence are valued.

Responsibilities

• Contribute technical expertise and work within a focused team that designs, fabricates, integrates and tests RF and millimeter wave subsystems.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to develop state-of-the-art RF subsystems for communication, radar and sensing applications.
• Support in proposal activities and in marketing HRL expertise; write invention disclosures and publish papers.
