Job summary

Falcata in Huntsville, AL seeks a Mechanical Engineer III to own mechanical and electromechanical designs for RF prototypes from concept through fabrication and test. You will partner with electrical and RF engineers to resolve packaging, size, weight, and thermal constraints, and lead mechanical integration into host platforms.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience developing mechanical or electromechanical products.
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software for complex part modeling and drawings.
• Ability to own mechanical designs from concept through prototype build and test.
• Create and review technical drawings, BOMs, and documentation for fabrication and integration.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design of housings, enclosures, brackets, adapters, and assemblies; produce 3D CAD models and drawings.
• Define mechanical concepts, manage BOMs, and coordinate prototype parts and assembly procurement.
• Partner with electrical and RF engineers to resolve packaging, size, weight, and thermal constraints.
• Plan prototype assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and use results to drive design improvements.
• Lead design reviews and maintain accurate design records and change documentation.
