Job summary

Falcata is seeking a Mechanical Engineer III in Huntsville, Alabama to own mechanical and electromechanical designs for RF prototypes from concept through fabrication, integration, and test. You will trade-off performance, schedule, and manufacturability while mentoring junior engineers.

You will collaborate with electrical, RF, and manufacturing teams to resolve packaging, size, weight, thermal, and interface constraints, and you will ensure drawings, BOMs, and documentation are accurate and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7 years' experience developing mechanical or electromechanical products.
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent for complex part modeling.
• Ability to own mechanical designs from concept through prototype build and test.
• Create and review technical drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical design of housings, enclosures, brackets, adapters, and assemblies; develop 3D CAD models and production-ready drawings.
• Define mechanical concepts and trade-offs; maintain BOMs and coordinate prototype parts and assembly procurement.
• Apply DFM/DFA to meet performance and build requirements; coordinate with manufacturing partners.
