Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory's Electronics for Contested Space Group seeks a Technician (Level A) to prototype and develop advanced RF and electronic hardware for space payloads. You will fabricate, assemble, integrate, and test hardware from schematics and drawings, under supervision.

Responsibilities include wiring, PCB assembly, chassis assembly, and using DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data collection equipment.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent, or at least two years of related experience.
• Foundational electrical knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Experience with soldering (through-hole and SMT).
• Familiarity with wire harnessing or PCB assembly preferred.
• Comfort in prototype development with low-volume fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, integrate, and test RF and electronic hardware from schematics and drawings.
• Perform mechanical/electrical assembly of PCBs and chassis.
• Assist higher-level technicians in building chassis, cables, and PCB assemblies.
• Create wire harnesses including multi-conductor and RF cables.
• Solder and de-solder components, and terminate wires with precision.
• Operate lab equipment and collect data under supervision.
