Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson seeks a RF Design Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to contribute to design, simulation, product development, and testing of RF hardware for radar and datalink programs.

You will assist in designing transmitters, receivers or exciters, and perform component characterization in a lab while collaborating with power, digital and mechanical teams. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
• Experience and/or coursework in programming and/or simulation in MATLAB, SIMULINK, C/C++, or equivalent language.
• Experience and/or coursework with RF and electromagnetic theory and related topics.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of transmitters, receivers or exciters.
• Experience designing and optimizing RF circuits and components.
• Lab-based component characterization and module verification/integration.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including power, digital, and mechanical.
• Schematic capture and detailed design work.
