Job summary

Sofidel America in Phoenix is seeking a Machine Operator to join the converting team. Local candidates, long-term growth potential, and a stable environment are offered.

Responsibilities include operating machinery and computer panels, performing quality checks, and preparing products for shipping while adhering to GMP and HACCP standards. The role requires a 12-hour rotating shift and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or 6–12 months experience in manufacturing/inventory and/or training.
• SAP experience is required.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across departments in a team environment.
• Strong time-management skills with ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow written production orders detailing production type, material, and palletization method.
• Perform hourly quality checks and submit daily QA reports.
• Operate hoist and pallet jack to load parent rolls of paper.
• Program and monitor computer panels for core size, roll diameters, and perforation.
• Set up and adjust rewinder and downstream equipment to meet quotas.
• Ensure finished goods meet customer specifications and communicate changes.
• Coordinate with Rapid Changeover Technicians (RCO Techs) for log saw changes and embossing adjustments.
