Job summary

Sofidel America, part of the Sofidel Group, seeks a skilled rewinder operator to safely run and monitor paper rewinder equipment in an industrial setting.

You will adjust speed, tension, and winding quality, inspect finished rolls, perform roll changes, troubleshoot issues, and maintain production records.

The role requires willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts and adhere to safety procedures; training and opportunity for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in paper manufacturing or industrial rewinder preferred.
• Ability to read production specs and operate controls/HMI.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate, set up, and monitor rewinder equipment.
• Maintain quality by controlling speed, tension, and roll formation.
• Inspect rolls for defects and winding quality.
• Perform roll changes, threading, and web handling.
• Identify jams or equipment issues and troubleshoot.
• Keep accurate production and quality records.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and PPE.
