Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Revenue Manager within Financial Risk Management to scale revenue controls across product and monetization lifecycles. You will collaborate with Product, GTM, and Engineering to translate risks into practical control activities across O2C, billing, and Ads monetization.

Based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY with a hybrid work model (3 days in the office) and relocation assistance. You will design, document, and test controls and support readiness and audit activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field
• 6+ years in internal controls, SOX/ICFR, audit, or financial operations
• Experience with revenue processes: Order-to-Cash, billing, subscriptions or Ads monetization
• Strong understanding of control design fundamentals and evidence standards
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication
• Familiarity with ERP/subledger systems and GRC tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and document revenue-related controls across O2C, billing, invoicing, and Ads monetization lifecycles.
• Support readiness assessments for new revenue processes and identify gaps.
• Maintain control documentation (RCMs, narratives, test procedures, evidence standards).
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Revenue Operations, Data, and Finance Platforms to translate requirements into actions.
• Monitor control performance, guide remediation with root-cause analysis.
• Prepare leadership-ready summaries of revenue risks and control health.
• Conduct walkthroughs, data inquiries, and process reviews for audits.
