Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia is seeking an Auditor, Revenue Optimization to conduct audits of clinical documentation, ensure proper charge capture, and support payer audits. This role emphasizes identifying coding discrepancies and guiding improvements in the revenue cycle.

The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement coding guidance, develop educational materials, and support the organization’s regulatory compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of medical coding experience required.
• Credential through AAPC or AHIMA required.
• One additional certification (CANPC or CPMA) within 1 year.
• Strong knowledge of CMS guidelines and Revenue Cycle processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Excel formulas.

Responsibilities

• Audit medical records to identify missed charges, incorrect coding, and other inconsistencies.
• Perform Root Cause Analyses and report findings identifying over-/under-coding and missed billing opportunities.
• Retrieve missing patient information for billing.
• Complete coding of unbilled records identified through audits.
• Prepare reports and executive summaries of audit findings for presentation.
