Job summary

Albany Med Health System seeks an experienced Revenue Integrity professional to audit and research documentation and billing requirements across clinical specialties. You will interpret coding guidelines and ensure compliance while collaborating with physicians, staff, and leadership.

The role supports RAC audit requests, appeals, and staff training to maintain accurate charge capture and regulatory adherence across the health system.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in health care-related or business-related field required.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Two years of experience in auditing, compliance and/or coding required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CPC required.
• Experience with Epic preferred.
• Knowledge of third-party billing regulations for hospital/provider reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation within the patient medical record and charges in the financial system.
• Identify compliance risks and contribute to RAC audit requests and appeals.
• Generate appeal letters and update patient accounting systems accordingly.
• Audit patient accounts and monitor results for performance improvement and leadership.
