Job summary

Superhuman is seeking a Data Engineer for the Finance & Revenue team to own revenue data pipelines and datasets powering ARR, NRR, and bookings insights across the suite. You’ll partner with Finance, Analytics, and Engineering to translate business questions into reliable, scalable data products.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, high-impact analytics, and collaboration across cross-functional partners in a fast-paced environment, with a hybrid model and Seattle/San Francisco hubs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building and operating production data pipelines and data platforms, ideally supporting finance, revenue, billing, or other business-critical analytical use cases.
• Proficient in SQL with hands-on Spark and a modern lakehouse or cloud data warehouse (Databricks, Delta Lake, dbt, Snowflake, or similar).
• Strong data modeling and warehouse design skills; transform complex processes into clear, reliable, reusable datasets.
• Rigorous data quality, observability, and reconciliation, especially for revenue reporting datasets.
• Experience with workflow orchestration and CI/CD for data (Databricks Workflows or Airflow, Git-based deployment).
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools and ability to validate outputs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own scalable data pipelines (Spark/Databricks) ingesting billing, subscription, payment, and bookings data.
• Build and maintain foundational datasets for ARR, NRR, bookings, and revenue metrics.
• Contribute to revenue attribution by linking product usage, lifecycle, and commercial signals.
• Model revenue data into clean, reusable tables for Finance and analysts to self-serve.
• Own data quality, freshness, reliability with automated checks, monitoring, alerts, and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Operations, Analytics Engineering, Product, and Engineering to translate business questions into robust data models.
• Improve performance, cost efficiency, and developer experience of the data platform.
