Job summary

OpenAI in San Francisco is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead the Growth & Revenue data engineering team. You will own the data strategy and build durable data products that connect product usage to revenue across subscription, checkout, and payments.

You will partner with Data Science, Product, Finance, and Engineering to enable fast, trustworthy analytics, ensure data quality, governance, and operational reliability, and drive a scalable roadmap for the organization.

• Experience delivering durable data models connecting product behavior to revenue.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and grow a high-performing data engineering team.
• Define data strategy for Growth & Revenue domains.
• Deliver data products linking product usage, subscription state, checkout events, payment outcomes, and revenue.
• Establish trusted metric definitions and data quality standards.
• Partner with Data Science, Product, Finance, and GTM for analytics and experimentation.
• Raise operational excellence for pipelines, reliability, observability, and governance.
